They came, they made us chuckle and they conquered!

A fab time was had at the Hendrick Hotel Smithfield, D7 on Saturday June 14th!

1st Place went to Michael Frankland all the way from London!

2nd Place went to Evan Archer, who competed last year and we were only delighted to have him back!

​Congrats to them and to everyone!!!

Mike Farragher from New Jersey who runs our sister film festival in the States sending a message to all for the 1st DICFF Stand-Up Heat for 2025!

​In 2024, we kicked off DICFF's inaugural Stand-Up Competition.

We had heats throughout the year and had an exciting final at the film festival itself in November 20204.

​Breda Hegarty won and we sent her off on an all expenses paid trip to our sister film festival, "The Irish American Comedy Film Fleadh", in New Jersey USA to perform there!

We are holding the same competition this year with the same prize! Get reading below...

Who will win in 2025?

Are you a comedian?

Or would you like to be a comedian?

Well, look no further...

There will be the 1st mega heat on May 10th 2025 at the Dublin Liberties Distillery as part of Culture Date with Dublin 8. 

Roughly 10 comedians will perform. There will be an audience vote at it also.

These semi-finalists will be invited to perform at the launch night of DICFF on Friday night the 28th November 2025 at Tailors Hall in Dublin 8. There will be an audience vote once more.

3 finalists will be selected to perform on Sunday the 30th November at Tailors Hall.

There will be a voting audience & a judging panel.

What's the Award?

The winner will win a trip to New Jersey, USA in March 2026 to perform at the famous Count Basie Theatre...

..where there will be comedy bookers present for USA!
