GEMMA CREAGHGemma Creagh is a writer, filmmaker and journalist. In 2014 she graduated with a First from NUIG’s MA Writing programme. Gemma’s play Spoiling Sunset was staged in Galway as part of the Jerome Hynes One Act Play series; she was one of eight playwrights selected to have their work staged for AboutFACE’s 2021 Transatlantic Tales, she developed her first feature play on the Assemble Artists scheme ran by Axis Theatre with financial support of the Arts Council. Her play, the Last Trip to Tipp was staged in Kilkenny this summer by Barnstorm Theatre. Gemma was the writer and co-producer of the five-part comedy Rental Boys for RTÉ’s first iteration of Storyland. She has gone on to write, direct and produce shorts which have screened at festivals around the world. She was commissioned to direct the micro short film, After You, by Filmbase and TBCT, and she has just directed her first long form funded short, Conveyance with the support of Dlr’s First Frames Scheme. Gemma has penned articles for magazines, industry websites and national newspapers, she’s the Project Manager of WFT Ireland and the associate editor for Film Ireland and she contributes reviews to Radio One’s Arena on occassion.

MÉABH DE BRÚNMéabh de Brún is an award-winning actor and writer for page, stage, audio, and screen. Her work often explores difficult subjects through black comedy and dark fantasy, and her fiction has featured in national and international publications. She is a finalist for the RTÉ Francis MacManus Short Story Award, winner of the Irish Independent's New Irish Writing, and a recipient of a Tyrone Guthrie Centre residency.
As a playwright, Méabh was awarded the 2019 DCLI/ACDI Playwriting Award and was shortlisted for the 2022 Women's Playwriting Prize. Her work has been featured as part of The New Theatre's 2022 New Writing Week and chosen as the Druid Debut for the 2022 Galway International Arts Festival. In her screenwriting, she has been a finalist in various festival competitions and national bursary awards, and she was a finalist for the 2022 Ardán/RTÉ Short Film Commission. In her writing and performance for audio, Méabh has written and performed in a wide range of projects, including an interactive side-quest on “Zombies, Run!”, her black comedy radio play "High Spirits" as part of Near FM's 2023 audio anthology, and her upcoming one-woman black-comedy-horror show, "The Devil’s Chair" for Realm.FM. Performing onstage from an early age, Méabh has a broad spectrum of theatrical experience. She has performed with renowned theatres such as The New Theatre and the Cork Arts Theatre, among others, and is the recipient of several national best actor festival awards. As a voice actor, she has lent her talents to video games, radio plays, podcasts, and commercial voice-over work. She has won multiple Best Performer Audio Verse Awards for her voice acting. Currently, Méabh plays a leading role in the smash-hit, award-winning horror/weird-fiction audio drama "The Silt Verses" and is set to portray the role of Carmilla in the upcoming Re: Dracula audio adaptation of the novel “Carmilla”. |
